Born and raised on the East Coast, Judy moved to Wisconsin as
a teacher on the Menominee Reservation in the 60’s, a connection she continues
to cherish.
She has been the visiting artist for the Menominee Tribal
Daycare and worked with the Family Center of the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribe to
encourage young people and elders to explore the world of drawing and
watercolor.
Gosz began her artistic exploration with pencil sketches and
pen & ink drawings, including publishing an annual calendar and postcards, doing
album covers, illustrating small chapbooks and creating original graphic works.
Her current fascination is watercolors, collage and "plein" air painting.
Her murals in oil are in the waiting room at the
Stockbridge-Munsee Health Center and at U.W. Plattville, WI.
Judy is an enthusiastic
teacher at almost every level from 6 months to 94 years and truly enjoys getting
her students excited about painting. Joyous activities exploring color and
composition are presented in age and ability appropriate presentations.
